Health & Safety

Health & Safety

Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our students. We devote extensive resources to ensure that you’ll have all the help, guidance and services you need to make the most of your PBA experience—from medical treatment and counseling to campus security patrols and hurricane preparedness.

Peace of Mind

Health and Wellness connects students to off-campus healthcare and support services. The university strives to uphold health requirements from immunizations to health insurance, ensuring our students be successful with sound mind and body. The Health and Wellness team is led by a Director and office coordinator.

A Wholistic View

We believe health goes far beyond the physical and includes emotional and spiritual components. PBA’s University Counseling Center provides compassionate support to students struggling with anything from depression and anxiety to relationship issues and other life challenges. The Counseling Center is guided by a team of experienced, dedicated counselors.

A Secure Environment

Our Campus Safety and Security Office ensures that all students feel safe anywhere on campus, at any time of the day or night. We employ nearly a dozen safety and security officers who patrol campus—on foot, on bicycles and via marked vehicles—24 hours a day, seven days a week. You’ll find 22 emergency call boxes strategically located across all areas of campus, which you can use to make on-campus calls or calls to 911.

Calm in the Storm

We also offer extensive information and resources with regards to hurricane preparedness. Some of these include social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, as well as PBA Alert text messaging, email listservs, campus cable and telephone systems, the pba.edu website and the PalmPBA app.

Extensive Resources

There are a number of medical providers close to campus for easy access, as well as some pharmacies that deliver to the PBA campus.
