Life outside of the classroom at PBA is a journey characterized by opportunity. The very mission of the Student Activities, Involvement and Leadership (SAIL) program is to provide you with meaningful opportunities to lead, connect, explore interests and help shape the culture of our campus community. In the end, you’ll gain the skills to become the kind of Christian leader ready to help others to connect, grow and serve.
SAIL coordinates Welcome Week, a week-long orientation for new students. This will be a chance for you to make new friends, take part in exciting games and activities, meet faculty and future mentors and attend social events. There are also activities and events for parents. Coming out of Welcome Week, you and your family will know that PBA is the place for you.
Open to Student Development Student Leader positions, the Refresh Program will provide you with relevant training and programming opportunities to continue understanding, assessing, developing and sharpening your leadership skills. Refresh will instill in you an appreciation for constantly strengthening and evolving those skills and abilities that will serve you throughout your life.
Within SAIL, the Steering Committee is the team that coordinates Welcome Week and numerous events for students throughout the year such as Coffeehouses, Trivia Nights, Spring Formal and Mr. Charming. Join with hundreds of students on campus in attending these events and getting connected with the PBA community. Make sure to follow Steering Committee @pbastudents on social media to keep up with everything going on around campus.
It’s nearly impossible to not get involved in extracurricular life at PBA. A big part of that is a result of SAIL’s Student Government, Clubs and Organizations programming. Whether you’re into art or science, skateboarding or scuba, marine biology or swing dance and all points in between, getting involved in any of these groups will be a great way to expand your interests, develop leadership skills, make new friends and have a lot of fun.
Winter Welcome Weekend is designed for new students starting in the winter semester. This is a great opportunity to meet your fellow new students, learn about life on campus, and explore West Palm Beach. You’ll also meet the Steering Committee, a student leader group that will guide you on your action-packed weekend.
