The financial aid process is completed on an annual basis, which begins with the filing of the Federal Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Our priority filing date is May 1 every year; however, you can file the FAFSA as early as October 1 for the upcoming year.

Has your student checked their official PBA email account? That is the only place that the Financial Aid Office will send important communications such as award letter notifications, requests for missing documents, and other critical information. Your student also has 24/7 access to his or her financial aid account online on the myPBA portal. On myPBA, your student can view his or her awards, check for outstanding documents, complete forms, and much more.
Financial aid award letters are calculated for an entire academic year; however, student bills are generated by semester. Approved financial aid for the semester will appear as a credit on the bill. Bills are issued electronically and can be viewed online through the Student Account Center.
After all financial aid has credited to the account, there are still other options for assistance with any remaining balance:
You and your student have the option to make monthly payments through our partnership with Tuition Management Systems (TMS). Our tuition payment plan is a no-interest installment plan that allows you to spread payment of your remaining balance over several months. There is a non-refundable fee to set up your payment plan account. You must sign up before or during check-in, as this option is not available after check-in has ended. The Tuition Protection Plan was designed with students and parents in mind. Get reimbursed for tuition payments, room and board fees, and other non-refundable expenses if your students needs to withdraw any time during the semester for a covered illness, injury or psychological conditions. Before classes begin, your student must have an approved loan, pay in full, or have established a monthly payment plan with PBA. We accept cash, personal and cashier’s checks, and money orders. We also accept eCheck and credit card payments online through the Student Account Center.
There are times when your family may experience special circumstances such as loss of employment, separation or divorce, etc., that significantly reduce family income. This may warrant a special review of the student’s financial aid package. Please contact us at 561-803-2126 for more information.
